On February 25, the S&T Diplomatic Circle Kansai visited KYOCERA Global headquarters in Kyoto. The delegation, comprising a record 28 participants, received a warm welcome from Ms. Elly Yoshikawa, Executive Officer and Head of Corporate Communication, with Mr. Kevin Iyan Laity Fall from Marketing Communications Section guiding the proceedings.

The tour offered valuable insights into Kyocera's innovative work and the enduring influence of its visionary founder, Dr. Kazuo Inamori. Established in 1959, this high-tech firm has evolved into a global leader known for pioneering technologies across multiple sectors. Kyocera's corporate philosophy—emphasizing harmony between employees, society, and the environment—remains at the core of its operations.

While the company began with a specialization in fine ceramics, it has successfully diversified into telecommunications, electronics, and renewable energy. Current strategic priorities include semiconductor development and AI-based solutions targeting sustainability, healthcare, next-generation laser technologies, mobility, and automation. Today, Kyocera's global footprint encompasses 80,000 employees across 300 group companies worldwide.

We extend our appreciation to Simon Psenner (Austria) for coordinating this informative visit, which provided our diplomatic representatives with a deeper understanding of one of Japan's most innovative technology companies.
