On November 15, the Science and Technology Diplomatic Circle Kansai enjoyed a captivating visit to Kawasaki Heavy Industries' Robot Showroom at their West Kobe Works. Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) is one of Japan's largest and most diverse manufacturers, producing everything from motorcycles to industrial robots. Established in 1969, KHI developed Japan's first domestically manufactured industrial robot, cementing its role as an industry leader.

Our visit began with a warm welcome from Executive Officer & General Manger Kenji Totoki, who provided an insightful presentation on the company's cutting-edge robotics technology. The Robot Showroom featured a wide range of KHI’s robotic solutions, showcasing their applications in various industrial settings. Participants were particularly impressed by the demonstrations highlighting automation and precision engineering.

Although the much-anticipated Q&A session was canceled due to overseas commitments, the presentation offered plenty of valuable information about KHI's pioneering advancements. The visit concluded with a deeper understanding of KHI’s impact on robotics in industries worldwide.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Kawasaki Heavy Industries for their hospitality and insightful tour, and to Political & Economic section Naomi Shibui, Consul Travis Hall, and Consul General Jason R. Cubas (USA) for supporting this enriching event.
