On May 29, the Science & Technology Diplomatic Circle Kansai visited Hitachi Zosen Chikko Works in Osaka. Known for its cutting-edge R&D in decarbonization technologies like hydrogen production, PEM water electrolyzers, and CO2 methanation, Chikko Works is a crucial hub for the Hitachi Zosen Group. The visit started at with a warm welcome by Hitachi Zosen's Dr. Izumiya, Senior Manager. We then attended a company presentation in the meeting room, providing insights into their precision machinery and industrial equipment manufacturing, including systems for foods, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors.
Following the presentation, we enjoyed a guided site tour of the facilities. This tour showcased their innovative manufacturing processes and state-of-the-art equipment, highlighting Hitachi Zosen’s expertise in sustainable methanation processes. The visit concluded with a lively Q&A session about potential their advanced technology and decarbonization efforts.
