Mitsubishi Electric Corporation

On September 11, the S&T Diplomatic Circle Kansai visited Mitsubishi Electric Corporation's Itami Works. The visit focused on three areas: energy storage, railway systems, and battery technology.

Ms. Komine and colleagues from the Itami Works presented the company's Energy Storage System (ESS) demonstration project in Kraków, Poland, which is supported by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The project is an example of Japanese energy technology being tested in a European setting. The delegation also received an overview of Mitsubishi Electric's railway business development and its battery technology projects.
