Visit to Mazda Motor Corporation

11/6/20262 min read

On November 6, the S&T Diplomatic Circle Kansai visited Mazda Motor Corporation at its head office in Fuchu-machi, Hiroshima. The site brings together the company's headquarters, a vehicle factory, and a museum. Together they give an inside view of how one of Japan's best-known automakers builds its cars and understands its own history.

The visit started with a company overview and a briefing on the factory. The delegation then took a guided bus tour through the 7-kilometer facility to an observation deck above the vehicle assembly line. From there, members watched production in progress. The tour showed the precision and coordination behind modern automotive manufacturing at scale.

The afternoon ended at the Mazda Museum, which traces more than 100 years of company history. The exhibits run from the autorickshaws of the 1920s to the rotary engines and Le Mans race cars that made Mazda's name. Seeing the factory and the museum on the same day showed how closely the company's engineering tradition and its current production are linked.

Our special thanks go to Consul General Chandru Appar (India) and his team for coordinating this visit.
